Mrs. Hazel S. Sapp age 92, of Lawtey passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her residence. Hazel was born on February 18, 1928 in Lawtey to the late Nathan and Daisy (Futch) Starling and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Lawtey. Prior to retirement she worked as a beloved school bus driver for the Bradford County School Board. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Washington "G.W." Sapp, her son, George Ronald "Ronnie" Sapp, Siblings, Thelma Goodman, Van Bush, Mary Lee Crawford, Lorene Smith and Eugene Starling, son-in-law, Edward Hickman and brother-in-law, Rudy Higginbotham. Survivors are her daughter, Dianne Hickman of Hopewell Junction, NY, daughter-in-law, Wanda Sapp of Lawtey, siblings, Bonnie Higginbotham of Lawtey and Nathan "Harold" Starling (Janet) of Lawtey. Also left are her grandchildren, Chris Hickman, Michael Hickman, Michelle Waters, Jamie Sapp and Kimberly Villani and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Lawtey Cemetery on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm with graveside funeral services beginning at 1 oclock.
