Helen Ida Barry Crosby, 91 of Starke, Florida entered peacefully into her Saviors arms on Friday, December 27, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, James Vernon Crosby Sr. Helen was born on February 14, 1933 in Brooker, Florida the daughter of the late Lloyd W. Barry and the late Grace Lee Connerly Barry. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Francis Land and Jackie Richardson and brother, Lloyd Wilbur Barry Jr. Left to cherish Helen's memories for years to come are son Jimmy Jr. and his wife Leslie and their son, Traye Crosby, and his wife Babybear, and their children Jeremiah, Cherokee, and Lakota; and their daughter, Brittany Crosby Alvarez, and her fiance Mike, and her children, Collin, Harper and Ridge; her son Tommy, and his wife Cindy and their daughter, Jessica Crosby Williams, and her children, Tucker, and Crosby; and their son Thomas Crosby, Jr., and his wife Ariel and their children, Elena and Leon; along with several nieces and nephews.Helen was a graduate of Bradford County High School. She spent her career split between the Florida National Bank and the Bradford County School Board. Helen was a woman of strong faith in Jesus Christ and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Starke for 60 years where she served as the first grade Sunday School teacher for almost 50 years, as well as a variety of other groups such singing in the choir, WMU and hosting fellowships. She loved her church family and wanted to make sure everyone she met learned of Christ's love and the salvation he offered.She loved to spend time with her family and friends, which included traveling with her husband to places such as the Grand Ole Opry, Smoky Mountains and Dollywood. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.The family will welcome friends paying tribute to Helens well-lived life beginning at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, January 5, 2025 at First Baptist Church until the funeral service begins at 12:00 noon at the church. Rev. Harry Hatcher will officiate. Burial will take place at Crosby Lake Cemetery on January 4th with only immediate family attending.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for memorial contributions made in Helens memory to First Baptist Church, P.O.
