Helen Ebuenga "Lola" Gilbert passed away on December 5, 2023 after a long illness. She was born May 4, 1944 in Manila, Philippines to the late Daisy Andrabado and Miguel Ebuenga. Helen retired from the Defense Logistics Agency in 2013 after a thirty-four year civil service career. She also served a distinguished career as a Navy Wife. Helen is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Woodie Gilbert, two daughters, Daisy Scott (Robert) and Melissa Gayle (Larry), a granddaughter, Reese Scott, three grandsons, Dalton Scott, Jacob Gayle and Austin Gayle and a sister, Remy Quiliza. Helen will be forever remembered as "Mom" who always brought food. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island with father Marek Dzien officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
