Helen Whitestone Gregory

Helen Whitestone Gregory, age 85, passed away on Monday January 8, 2018 in Jacksonville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 13, 2018 in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6320 Bennett Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Fr. Michael J. Larkin as Celebrant. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday January 12th in the church. Helen was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 8, 1932 to David Elmo Whitestone & Helen Louise Kelly Whitestone. She was a longtime Jacksonville resident and a founding member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother and she will be missed dearly. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Catherine W. Schmidt & her brother, Dennis Whitestone. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph N. Gregory; 4 daughters Donna G. Thurson (Tim), Denise G. Miller (Tom), Colleen G. Lewis (John) & Kelly G. Nance (John); a son, Michael R. Gregory (Christina), and her dear nephew Mark Gregorio (Maria); 16 grandchildren Rachel, Katie, Sarah, Nicole (Jeremiah), Tay, Autumn (David), Jordan (Chris), Jackie, Cassidy, Jake, Reilly, Claire, Luke, Hunter, Morgan & Mackenna; 2 great grandchildren Levi & Hudson; her brother David Whitestone (Marsha); her stepdaughters Linda Gould and Sherry Gidney; foster babies she cared for, and by many extended family, church family & friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to either Community Hospice & Palliative Care or the Womens Help Center (ProLife) 4209 University Blvd. S. Jax, FL 32216.
