Helen Matthews Lackey

Helen M. Lackey, 89, of Alachua, passed away Saturday, December 8 at Cypress Cove in Crystal River. She was a long time member of Forest Grove Baptist Church and retired as a nurse from Dr. Thomas M. Brill's office.She was preceded in death by her late husband Edward Lackey. Survivors include daughter, Ellen Goerndt, Betty Baldree, Sue Wine, one grandson Arik Bishop, and two great-grandsons Brace and Capp Bishop.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 14th at Forest Grove Baptist Church, 22575 NW 94th Ave, Alachua. Burial will be at Forest Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 13th, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Evans Carter Funeral Home, 18724 High Springs Main Street, High Springs, 386-454-2444.
