Helen Agnes Krogsrud Lincoln Helen Agnes Krogsrud Lincoln died Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Helen was born December 27, 1916 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to her parents Olea O. Knudsen and Gustav K. Krogsrud, who immigrated from Norway in the early 1900s. Helen and her late husband of 56 years Edward Judd Lincoln, Jr. (Abe) have resided in Jacksonville, FL since Edward retired from the United States Coast Guard in 1959. Helens passion was sewing, cooking, entertaining her many friends and teaching Sunday School. She was a lifetime active member of the Presbyterian Church. Besides teaching Sunday School for over 50 years, she served as an Elder and Trustee in the church and was awarded an Honorary Life Membership to the Presbyterian Women. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, son William Krogsrud Lincoln, her parents and siblings Sidney Krogsrud, Olaf Krogsrud, Ethyl K. Dacko and Ruth K. Anderson. She leaves one grandson, Christian Larry Henderson (Jennifer) and three great-grandchildren plus a number of nieces and nephews. She also leaves others she called her grandchildren the Rev. Jason Henderson (Judy) and Erin Wiggins (Steven) and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 118 East Monroe St., Jacksonville, FL 32202, followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall after the memorial service. A private graveside service in Evergreen Cemetery will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank the Taylor Residences, First Presbyterian Church and Community Hospice for the love and care they gave Helen the last years of her life. In lieu of flowers, if you wish a donation may be made in her memory to First Presbyterian Church.
