Helen Evelyn Mays Funeral services for Helen Evelyn Mays, 84, who passed away on November 19, 2013, will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206, with Rev. Doug Sides officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Mays was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and was the owner of Helens Florist for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, the late Harrel Mays and son, Ronald Ronnie Mays. Survivors include her 2 daughters, Kathy Camp (Joe) and Marie Long (Lamar); 1 son, Donald E.
