Helen Jeanette Phillips, 89, of Newberry, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 24, 2024. She was born in Bainbridge, GA on January 12,1935 to Philip Ebb and Effie Gatsey (Whitaker) Aycock. Helen was a loving mother, homemaker, and worked at Lancaster Correctional Facility and in several IFAS departments with the state of Florida. She and her husband moved their family from Largo, FL to Newberry, FL where they owned and operated a farm. Helen was an active member of Union Baptist Church.She is preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and ten siblings. Helen is survived by her three children: Curtis (Paula) Phillips and Peggy (Tim) Latner of Newberry, FL and Brenda (Garry) Kirby of High Springs, FL and an honorary daughter/niece, Cathie Lord of Dawsonville GA; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Janice Robinson of Ladson, SC.A celebration of life will be held on April 2, 2024, at 11:00 am at Union Baptist Church, 6259 SE 75th Avenue, Newberry, FL with Pastor Travis Moody officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment will be held directly after service at Forest Meadows West Cemetery, 700 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, FL.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Union Baptist Church Building Fund.
