Mrs. Helen Marie Schneider age 88 of Fort Myers passed away Friday,November 25, 2022. She was born in Peeksville, New York on November 13,1934, to Carl and Eunice (Hall) Kehn. Mrs. Schneider attended BarringtonCollege, Houghton College, and Columbia University earning her Bachelor ofScience degree and Nursing Diploma. Helen served children throughevangelism for 25 years as a leader in the AWANA clubs. She also created aloving environment in her home for all of the neighborhood children.Helen worked as a nurse at White Plains Hospital for many years, first on aregular floor and then on pediatrics. She also enjoyed teaching at the LPNprogram at BOCES. She enjoyed throwing dinner parties with her husband andinviting friends and neighbors. In addition to her parents she was alsopreceded in death by her Husband Rev. Leonard Albert Schneider of 55 years;brothers Theodore Raymond Kehn and Carl Marlowe Kehn and sister in lawBeverly Jean Van Sandt Kehn. Mrs. Schneider leaves behind her childrenMiriam "Mimi" Ruth Jannetty (Joseph J.) of Palm Beach, Susanna Lee Schneiderof Brooklyn, New York, and Carl Martin Schneider of New City, New York alongwith a sister in-law Bernice Kehn of Norway, Maine. She was lovingly called"Grandma" by grandchildren Joseph Pietro Jannetty and Sophia Kehn JannettyPrivate Services were held.
