Mrs. Helen Ruth Moody Wright Wells Stewart age 94 of Lake City and formerly a longtime resident of Starke passed away Monday, November 14, 2022, at Suwannee Valley Hospice in Lake City. She was born August 14, 1928, in Bradford County to John Charles and Allie (Griffis) Moody. Prior to retiring she was employed for 33 years as a Seamstress for Starke Uniform Company. She was a longtime member of the Starke Church of God before moving her membership to Evangel Church of God in Lake City 11 years ago. She and enjoyed spending time with family friends, quilting, and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands "J.B." Wright, Bill Wells, and Johnnie Stewart, brothers Leonard Moody, Jesse Moody Raymond Moody, Charles Moody, Fred Wimpy, and sisters Ann Goodge, Clara Leroy, Ira Cowart, and Allie Mae McKinney, along with stepchildren Benny Wells, Victor Wells, and Betty David. Mrs. Stewart is survived by four daughters Ruth Johnson (Joey) of Lake City, Linda Williams (Bert) of Brooker, Donna Rowell of Worthington Springs, and Dianne Miller (Stan) of Starke. She was lovingly called "Granny" by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and nine great - great grandchildren. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2022, in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Moody officiating.
