Henry Carson Chappell, Sr. (Pops) Henry Carson Chappell, Sr. (Pops), 77 of Jacksonville passed away on September 20, 2013. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:00AM in the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Pastor David Hill officiating. Carson was born on December 4, 1935 in Albemarle, NC to William E. and Dauskie Chappell. Carson is predeceased by his wife Marlene E. Chappell and his sister Katheryne Chappell Drennon. He is survived by his daughter Pamela Stevens and four sons; Eugene (Cindy) Stevens, Kit (Alisa) Chappell, Dale Chappell and Dwayne (Kathy) Chappell and Karen Chappell all of Jax. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Shana, KC "Amber", Donnie "Stephanie", Candyce "Kyle", Katlin, Kyle. Six Great Grandchild; Peyton Addy, Ashlyn, Bryant, Sophie, Easton and many others family and friends and especially Big Earl. Carson was the founder and president of Chappell's Sheet Metal for fifty years. When Carson wasn't enjoying his family or working he was an avid Nascar enthusiast and enjoyed the local dirt track racing. The family will receive friends for a visitation at the funeral home on Monday, September 23, 2013 between 6-8pm. A very special thanks to the Community Hospice "Gold Team".
