Mr. Herbert Herbie David Earl age 87 of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Bailey Hospice Center in St. Augustine. Mr. Earl was born in Harriman, New York on July 22, 1926 to the late Herbert Joseph and Mildred (Hall) Earl. He had served in the United States Navy during World War II and had retired from the State of New York as a Master Plumber. Mr. Earl had been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1989 moving from Bear Mt. New York. He enjoyed World War II memorabilia, going out to eat with his family, and helping others around him. His wife Lillian and their daughter Deborah Earl; his grandson, Casey James Rose had preceded him in death. Survivors are his loving companion and caretaker for the past 11 years, Beth Collins and her daughter, Joslenaya Edwards of Keystone Heights; 3 daughters, Merrilee Franzen and Pam Grant both of Tucson, Arizona, and Kathy Shostak of Greenville, New York. Also left behind are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. There are no services being held at this time. His burial will take place in Highland Mills, New York.
