Hilda C. Smith, a beloved mother and cherished member of her community, passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born on January 8, 1954, in Key West to the late Danilo and Georgina (Noda) Castro.

Hilda was incredibly active in her community. She volunteered at Lake Area Ministries and the Community Church of Keystone Heights with the rummage sales they have semiannually, She was a proud member of the American Legion , often found joyfully playing and assisting with Bingo events. Hilda's warmth and spirit touched many, and her legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of those she served.

Hilda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Raymond Friedmann of Keystone Heights, children, Michael Boutwell, Joshua Smith, Christian Smith and Tabatha Castro. Also left are her grandchildren, Sean, Bryanna, Larissa and 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor Hilda's life will be scheduled at a later time.
