Howard R. "Dick" Beckham Howard R. Dick Beckham, Sr., 86, passed Dec. 10, 2012. A Jacksonville native, he served in the Air Force during WWII. He was a Captain of the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Marine Division where he served for over 27 years. He also retired from ILA-Clerk and Checkers Local 1593 and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a talented and devout man who worked hard and who loved his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years and childhood sweetheart Virginia, children: Sharon (Capt. Franklin P.) Guerard, Howard R. (Marie) Beckham, Jr., Susan (David) Dagenais, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. There will be a Visitation from 10:00 am to 11:30 am Saturday followed immediately by the funeral service at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
