Howard Adkin Hewell, born November 15, 1961 in Jacksonville, FL to Samuel E. & Betty M. Hewell died Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Jacksonville. He is survived by his parents; daughters, Brianne & Danielle Nicole Hewell; siblings, Barbara H. Fanning & Sam McCombs; nieces, Deborah (Tony) Pelham, Joanna (Eddie) Asimbaya & nephew, Samuel Pringle . He loved scuba diving, beaches & taking family to Disney! Howard was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2004, given six months to a year to live, but praise to his Lord & Savior, he was granted many more years. In those years, he endeared himself to many due to his always positive and upbeat attitude; always being thankful for each day the Lord had given him. He was a loving, kind and considerate man; one of whom his parents were very proud. He made their lives so much more pleasant in their later years.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday September 8, 2017 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with Dr. Terry N. Collins of Southpoint Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery, Meigs, GA at 1:00 P.M. on Friday September 15, 2017.
