Hurdilee Nettie Bowden Yeomans Funeral services for Mrs. Hurdilee Nettie Bowden Yeomans, 94, widow of Lester A. Yeomans, Sr. will be held at 10:00am Thursday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Dr. Michael D. Riley officiating. Burial will be in H. Warren Smith Cemetery, Jacksonville Beach. Born August 17, 1919 in Mandarin, Florida, Mrs. Yeomans passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at the home of her daughter. She worked in the County Clerks office for the City of Jacksonville, Florida where she retired with twenty years of service. She was a member of Deermeadows Baptist Church. Mrs. Yeomans was the last surviving daughter of eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Wanda L. (Roy L.) Douglas, Sr.; three grandchildren, Roy L. (Suzzie Miles) Douglas, Jr., Lester A. Yeomans III, and Deban Yeomans; and a great-granddaughter, Ashton Nicole Douglas, the love of her life. Mom was the love of our life and shall be dearly missed.
