Ida Dessie Streib, age 74 of Keystone Heights, passed away, Friday, August 31, 2012 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. In 1938, she was born to the late Emory Wilson and Ida Katherine (Seig) Thigpen in Jacksonville, FL. Ida lived in Keystone Heights for the past 34 years. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and taking walks along the beach. She was a supporter of both the Rotary Club and the VFW. Along with her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Dennis Streib, a bother Gene Thigpen and a sister, Sue Thigpen.She is survived by her children, Michael Wayne Burkhart of Palatka, Linda Carol Conway of Keystone Heights, Cynthia Fay Kobryn of Georgia, Dennis Arthur Streib, Jr. and Patricia Lorraine Streib both of Keystone Heights, brothers and sisters, Albert Thigpen, Betty Mixon, Danny Thigpen, Steve Thigpen and Martha Thigpen, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Keystone Heights Cemetery with Mr. Steve Thigpen officiating.
