Idell Durban Boyett January 5, 1933 - October 9, 2022On October 9, 2022, Idell (Dell) Durban Boyett left us for her garden in the sky, she was 89 years old.Idell cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. For most of her life she was deeply involved in the Grace United Methodist Church, caring for the gardens outside as well as creating arrangements for Sunday services.She was always the first to offer help and she always enjoyed having family and friends at her home and ensured that every person who crossed her threshold felt welcomed. She was an avid gardener, a talented seamstress and an amazing dancer. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and rarely missed an event that they participated in.She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Boyett Atkinson (husband Ben) and Angela Boyett (husband Litch), grandchildren Ryan Jae Atkinson and Jaci Nicole Atkinson, her sister Betty Durban Williams, her brother Richard Durban (wife Maryann) and numerous Boyett and Durban nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband O.J. (Jay), her father Edward Durban, her mother Jessie Durban, and her brothers William L. Durban (Fay) and Raymond Durban.Though her prolonged illness stole much of her shine, we know that the mist has cleared and the vibrance that defined her life is bright. She was so loved and will be missed.A visitation at 12:00 noon October 14, 2022, with a service to follow at 1:00 pm. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel.
