Ilene Touchton Goedert On Thursday, January 26, 2012, Ilene Touchton Goedert, age 91, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones. A native of Valdosta, Georgia, she moved to Jacksonville with her family at age 6 where she resided for 85 years. A graduate of Lee High School, she was also an active member of the Jacksonville Garden Club for many years and a member of the Southside United Methodist Church for over 55 years. She was married to Alfred H. Goedert, Jr. for 63 years until his death in 2003. She is survived by 4 daughters, Sandra Denkinger (Gary) of Fairfax, Virginia, Ann Jacobs (Richard) and Lucy Keeling (Danny) of Jacksonville and Dorothy Goedert of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Tooie Murray of Ft. Myers, Florida. Visitation will be at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. on Monday, January 30 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, January 31 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Jones officiating.
