Inez Scott Keen, 103, of Madison, Alabama and High Springs, Florida, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Inez was born in Buena Vista, Georgia on May 1, 1920 to Alfred and Lillie Mae Scott. Inez was married to John M. Keen for 66 years.Inez worked as a seamstress. She loved making quilts, sewing clothes for her family, baking, being involved with the church, and teaching childrens Sunday School at First Baptist Church of High Springs.Inez is survived by her son, Kenneth Keen (Becky); daughters, Jacqueline Smalley (James), Judy Charlton, and Martha Ann Leverett; daughter-in-law, Marcia Keen; grandchildren, Darrell Keen, Morgan Keen, Cara Kondaki, Martin Smalley, Stephen Keen, Christopher Hendrix, Joseph Hendrix, Justin T. Keen, Amanda Keen, Kellie Glasgow, and Michelle Leverett; 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Marie Jones.She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lillie Mae Scott; husband, John M. Keen; son, John Allen Keen; daughter, Carolyn Sue Hendrix; brothers, Lewis Scott and Raymond Scott; sisters, Ollie Woolfolk, Alpha Mae Corbett, Doris Corbett, and Vera Acreman.The funeral service has been scheduled for 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, High Springs, Florida. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm at Evans Carter Funeral Home, 18724 High Springs Main Street, High Springs, Florida.
