Mrs. Iva Southerland Harrelson, age 85 of Florahome passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. She was born March 15, 1940, in New River to Willie and Willa Mae (Osteen) Southerland. Mrs. Harrelson was a waitress and seamstress, but her all time fulfillment was being a wife, mother, and grandmamma. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, plants, watching Western shows and "running" the dogs. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband James "Buddy" Harrelson and their sons Steven Harrelson and Leonard Harrelson. Her survivors are her children Marie Eubanks and Michael Harrelson (Debra) all of Florahome along with Richard Harrelson (Rebecca) of Middleburg; siblings of Hazel Varnes of Johnstown and Bruce Southerland (Pamela) of High Springs. She was loving called "Grandmamma" by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Viewing for Mrs. Harrelson will begin at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Paran Cemetery. Graveside service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Danny Fouraker officiating.
