Mr. Jackie "Jack" Richard Ganoe, 68 of St. Augustine passed away suddenly in Morgantown, West Virginia on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born March 9, 1954 in Rich Creek, Virginia to the late Rhenard William Ganoe and Anna Mae (McCraw) Ganoe. He graduated from Bellbrook High School in Bellbrook, Ohio in 1972. He also attended Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio. Jack was a musician playing multiple instruments, with the guitar being his favorite. Jack played in the well known band Utopia. Following Utopia, he was a studio musician in Los Angeles and played with many well-known artists. Following his music career, Jack drove a truck cross county, hauling everything from fruit to jet fuel throughout his career. He also successfully ran his own trucking company for many years. Survivors are his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Wren-Ganoe of St. Augustine; daughters, Monica Webb (Andrew) of Mobile, Alabama, Cherie Hunter of Villa Rica, Georgia, Crystal Wynn (Brian) of Douglasville, Georgia, siblings, Howard Ganoe (Barbara) of Pembroke, Virginia, and Evelyn Reynolds (Don) of St. Augustine. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Parish, 215 St. George St., St. Augustine, 32084. For attendance, in Jack style, shorts, capris and bright clothing are encouraged. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local animal shelter.
