Jackie "Jack" Bernard Blevins, Sr. 76, of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday June 25, 2022, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka following an extended illness. He was the first born son of Jacob and Stella Blevins born in Washington D.C. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Strickland and a brother Teddy Charles Blevins. Jack served two tours in Vietnam; an infantry division as well as driving a tank. Jack loved cars and trucks especially vintage automobiles; he was an excellent automotive mechanic and worked for several auto dealerships in Gainesville. Following an automobile accident, Jack was left disabled, but he persevered and eventually worked for Country Caterers as a mechanic until his disability finally forced him to retire. He continued working on cars when his body would allow him that pleasure. Jack leaves behind to cherish his memories, five children Jackie Blevins, Jr. of Keystone Heights, Tina Blevins O'Neal of Florahome, Teddy Blevins, Naomi Blevins(fianc Joel Montague) and Louie Linton all of Keystone Heights. Also left behind are three brothers Noonie Blevins (Freda) and Steve Blevins (Sue) all of Abingdon, VA, and Scotty Blevins of Chilhowie, Virginia; one sister Linda Blevins Freese (Philip) of East Palatka. Jack was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great many loving cousins that the family refers to as the Blevins Bunch.
