Mr. Jackie Donald Cornette, age 54, passed away at his home suddenly, Tuesday, January 6, 2015. He was born in Hahn, Germany on January 29, 1960 to the late Jesse Donald and Aplha Sue (Strickland) Cornette. He had been a longtime resident of the Keystone Heights and Florahome area before moving to Waldo one year ago. Jackie received his Bachelors Degree from East Tennessee State University and had also attended University of Florida. Prior to retirement, Jackie had been a Registered Nurse for several Gainesville and Starke nursing homes. He enjoyed fishing, art painting, and enjoyed being a Nurse. He was very intelligent and inquisitive which gave him a love of learning. Jackie is survived by his wife of 12 years, Katherine (Bradley) and a stepdaughter, Kelsey Reese of Gainesville.
