James Elias Anderson

A funeral service for Mr. James Elias Anderson, 98, of Jacksonville, FL will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 5th at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South with Doctor Peter Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.James is survived by his 3 children; Dortha Elaine Anderson Arnett, James Elias Anderson, Jr., Ronald Kent Anderson, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dortha Hellen Brannen Anderson.He taught men's Sunday school at First Baptist Church and North Jacksonville Baptist Church. In addition, he was also a member at Hogan Baptist Church. He retired from Miller Electric in Jacksonville, FL after a long and extended career. He looked forward to being with his Heavenly Father.The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the funeral service at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, June 5th from 12 noon until 1 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Anderson's memory to the charity or organization of your choice.
