James Frank Baughman

James Frank Baughman was called home on June 10, 2016 by his Heavenly Father to his eternal home. He was born October 8, 1924 in Tampa, Florida to Charles & Fern Baughman.He was a graduate of Henry B. Plant High School in Tampa, Class of 1943. Mr. Baughman then served in the United States Navy from 1943 until 1946. Upon his release from duty, he then attended the University of Florida where he attained his Insurance Certification.In 1950 he married Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Bartlett and in 1959 they moved to Jacksonville with their two sons.Mr. Baughman began working for Gulf Life Insurance and later for Independent Life, which then became American General Life Insurance until his retirement. Post retirement, he worked for the Best Bet Poker Room and Dog Track to help pass the time. Mr. Baughman was a member of the Gulf Life Ole Timers and he was a longtime member of South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church.Mr. Baughman was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jean Baughman; a son, William (Bart) Baughman and recently by his brother, Charles Baughman.
