Mr. James Jim Harvey Blankenship age 63, of Starke died Friday, November 16, 2012 in Gainesville. Mr. Blankenship was born on December 12, 1948 in Jacksonville to the late Virgil E. and Edna Helen (Yates) Blankenship, and has been a resident of Starke for three months moving here from Huntington, West Virginia. Mr. Blankenship served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He is a Christian and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed taking walks through the woods. Survivors are, his son; James E. Blankenship of Huntington, West Virginia, siblings; Joyce Fox of Georgetown, Kentucky, Marie Brabham of Fleming Island, Janet Meeks of Deltona, Sandy Andrews of Keystone Heights, Barbara Weddington and Forest Blankenship both of Huntington, West Virginia, Gerald Blankenship, Frankie Blankenship and Randy Blankenship all of Starke, and Timothy Blankenship of Jacksonville. Funeral services for Mr. Blankenship will be on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 9:30 AM in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel in Starke with Mr. Lloyd Webb officiating.
