James Joseph Blythe, 87, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born July 20, 1926 to John and Louise Blythe, in McKeesport, PA. James served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. After the war he used the G.I. Bill to complete his education at the University of Pittsburg, earning a degree in accounting. He was a long-time manager for Victor Business Machines covering the Southeast. He was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church for over 30 years and was a part of the "Ed Crutchfield Sunday School Class", the Chancel Choir and the Men's Choir. James is survived by his wife Sylvia, son Chris Blythe, daughters Monica Clinton and April (Rick) Mitchell, grandchildren Kayla and Noah Mitchell, sister Patricia (Jerry) Smith, brothers J. William (Eva) Blythe and Robert (Maggie) Mitall. James was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Louise Blythe. A memorial service will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00AM.
