Mr. James Martin "Jim" Buckley age 89 of Melrose passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Buckley was born on January 18, 1935 in Waycross, Georgia to the late James and Ella (Cox) Buckley and was a longtime area resident. Prior to retirement he worked in commercial sales for plumbing companies and was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church of Keystone Heights. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 66 years, Doris (McDavid) Buckley and his son Danny Buckley. Survivors include his children, Diane Buckley DeGraff (Stephen) of Melrose, David Buckley (Patty) of Easley, South Carolina, Dannys wife Tina Buckley of Alachua and his sister Brenda Dean of Lawtey. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Rebecca Nelson (Chris), Marina Buckley, Michael Buckley, Jessica McCoy (Marcus) and Garrett Buckley, along with great grandchildren, Christopher Nelson III, Kyleigh June Nelson, Brock Nelson, Colton Daniel McCoy and Cara Grace McCoy. Funeral services for Mr. Buckley will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Church of Keystone Heights at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in La Crosse with Pastor Brandon Denmark and Pastor Scott Stanland officiating.
