Mr. Chitty was born in Bonifay, FL on March 1, 1927 to the late James and Mary Palma (Deese) Chitty and had been a resident of the area since 1946. Mr. Chitty served in the United States Navy, retired from E. I. DuPont as Supervisor and was an avid quail hunter. Mr. Chittys survivors include his wife of 63 years Ivalene (Copeland) Chitty of Melrose and their son Michael Houston Chitty (Sadie) of Starke, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Viewing will be on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 6-8 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 oclock on Wednesday in the DeWitt C.
