James Paul Clary

Mr. James Paul Clary, 62 of Palatka, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Mr. Clary was born July 22, 1958 in El Centro, California to parents Martin Sims and Elsa Mae (Hughes) Clary. James served as a special education volunteer for handicapped elementary children. He attended Dayspring Community Church in Deland, where he volunteered for the Soup Kitchen during Thanksgiving time. He also attended Grace Community Baptist Church in Palatka while living with his brother, Samuel. James was loved by many people and had a strong faith in Christ. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors are his siblings, Martin Clary (Kathy) of Orange Park, John Clary (Alice) of Deland, Samuel Clary of Gainesville, Henry Clary (Matasha) of Bluefield, Virginia, Margaret Lee (Ron) of Jacksonville, Marcia Garrison of Green Cove Springs, and Diane Keefe (Richard) of Green Cove Springs. Also surviving him are numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 in the Chapel of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home with Pastor Tom White officiating. The family will hold a time of visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
