James Edward Coleman (Jimmy to his family, and Buck to his many friends), of Melrose, Florida, passed away on January 21, 2025 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on June 3, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida, Jimmy lived a life filled with family, friends, and adventure.Jimmy worked for Bellsouth/AT&T for 37 years, but family and friends will remember fondly his love of Harley Davidson motorcycles, boating, waterskiing, and lake life. Jimmy never met a stranger, and when people asked for help, he was always there to lend a hand.Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lynda Coleman; his two sons, Jacob Coleman (Sole Salvo) and Adam Coleman (Tiffany) his sister, Susan Young (David), nieces Donnell, Carrie, Whitney, and Hillary; numerous grand nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Dianne Farb (Ron). He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian Coleman, and sister, Jan Looney.In this time of sorrow, the family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and support shown to them. Jimmys legacy of love and adventure will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.In honor of Jimmy, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his memory.
