James E. Fleisher, Sr.

James E. Fleisher, Sr., age 91, of Marietta, GA died Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Jim was born in Brazil, Indiana. He lived in Terre Haute, IN, Jacksonville, FL, Decatur, GA and Altamonte Springs, FL before moving to Marietta, GA after his retirement in 2009. He graduated from Robert E Lee High School in Jacksonville, FL and attended the University of Florida where he was a brother of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He served during World War II in the United States Navy and the Air Force Reserves. Taking care of his family and Gator Football were his passions. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marietta, Ga. Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Gladys Fleisher. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Barker Fleisher; his son James E. Fleisher, Jr. (Suzanne) of Canton, Ga.; his daughter Kimberly Walker (Ben) of Marietta, Ga. ; two grandchildren Stephanie Hunicke (Brian) of Longwood, FL and Stacy Fleisher of Miami, FL; one great grandson Brooks Hunicke of Longwood, FL and 3 step grandchildren..FuneralFriday, March 25, 201612:30 PM Chapel of George H.
