Mr. James "Jim" William Irwin of Keystone Heights passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was born April 29, 1938, in Havana, Illinois to the late Robert and Faye Irwin. Mr. Jim worked as a monitor technician with a chemical company, and served in the United States Airforce. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, an avid fisherman, and a lifelong gator fan. He enjoyed reading, feeding birds, guns, and skeet shooting. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lou (Taylor) Irwin and daughter Mary Heissler; Survivors include children, Todd Irwin (Mel) of Panama City Beach, Tim Irwin (Jill) of Falls River, Virginia, Joe Irwin (Stacy) of Hixon, Tennessee, Bobbie Martin (Dave) of Peoria, Illinois, Susan Waltrip (Terre) of Orlando, Eddie Waltrip, and Clint Waltrip; He was lovingly called "Papa Jim" by his eleven Grandchildren and eighteen Great-Grandchildren; A memorial service will be held at a later date.
