Mr. James "Bro" Mitchell Lawton, 48, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 in Jacksonville. Mr. Lawton was born May 3, 1973 in Albany, Georgia to parents Barry Lawton and Dorothy (Neal) Lawton. James was a resident of Orange Park since 1977 and was formerly of Key West. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, darts, woodworking and BBQing and was an excellent cook. He was also an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. His father preceded him in death. Survivors are his mother, Dorothy (Neal) Lawton, brother, Chris Lawton (Denise), niece, Ashely Zehner (Josh) and numerous friends. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
