Funeral services for James Howard Luker, 87, who passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, will be held Monday August 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Mr. Larry Paulk officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Luker was born in Birmingham, Alabama and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army and had retired from AT&T and later worked for Publix for over 15 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #11406.
