James "J.D." Douglas Maggard

Mr. James "J.D." Douglas Maggard age 64 of Starke passed away at his home on Monday, December 7, 2020. He was born on July 23, 1956 to Jimmie and Doris "Webb" Maggard in Kentucky. J.D. loved to ride his Harley Davidson, spending time with his grandchildren, and was a huge sports fan. From 1974-1978 J.D. served in the Navy. Following his Navy career, he worked for Ford Motor Company where he later retired. After retirement he moved to Starke where he made many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mysti Maggard, and sister-in-law, Patty Sue Maggard. Survivors include parents, Jim and Doris Maggard; daughters, JoAnna (Holland) Bramlitt and Jami (Eddie) Webber; sisters, Patricia (James) Zabik and Connie (Rick - deceased) Oulette; and brother Sherman (Altha) Maggard, as well as 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. A visitation will precede the services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE 904-964-6200.
