Funeral services for James Upton McCorkel Sr., 65, who passed away on October 27, 2015, will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206, with Bro. Steve McCorkel officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to service at the funeral home. Mr. McCorkel was born in Jacksonville, Florida was a lifelong resident currently residing in Callahan, Florida. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a Crane Operator by trade working for Johnson's Crane Services, Inc. for the past 40 years. Mr. McCorkel was preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years, Loretta Lois Ingham McCorkel; Parents, John and Letha Regar McCorkel; Also six brothers and sisters.
