James Robert Mosley

James Robert Mosley, 79, affectionately known as Poppy, passed away on December 28, 2015 in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday December 29, 2015 (tonight) from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard South. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 30, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, Georgia.A Jacksonville native, Mr. Mosley was born on June 16, 1936 to Charles Polk & Lela Mosley. He worked for the City of Jacksonville and Waste Management as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 2012.Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Annette Mosley in 2012. He is survived by his 3 daughters Gloria Stivender (Danny), Suzy Orr & Debbie Murray (James); 7 grandchildren Ashley Fries (Troy), Amanda Anderson (Anthony), Michael Stivender, James Revere, Jaime Vest (Bobby), Ashlee Torres & Mariah Canova; 7 great grandchildren Tiara, Anthony Jr., Andrea, JaiDyn, Troy Jr., Allyssa 3 siblings Bobby Mosley, Wesley Mosley & Sissy Touchton (Bob) as well as many extended family members and friends.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in the name of Mr. Mosleys great-granddaughter, Allyssa, to the Histiocytosis Association via https://histio.org/pages/get-involved/yeg/2015/year-end-giving-campaign-general-donation.Receiving FriendsMonday, December 28, 201506:00 PM - 08:00 PM George H.
