Mr. James Russell Pierce, Jr. 62 of Keystone Heights passed away at his home Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was born June 13, 1960, in Newburg, New York to James and Marilyn (Green) Pierce, Sr. Prior to retiring James was employed with Omega Metals Inc. He was a member of Gadara Baptist Church and enjoyed playing the guitar, riding motorcycles, and collecting Batman memorabilia. In addition to his father James was also preceded in death by his son James Russell "Rusty" Pierce III. His survivors are his wife of 15 years Sherri (Ellis) Pierce and his mother Marilyn (Green) Pierce both of Keystone Heights; two daughters Amy Pierce and Emily Hatley (Josh) all of Albemarle, North Carolina along with three step children Jayme Ellis of Gainesville, Ryan Ellis serving in the U.S. Army in Kentucky, and Travis Ellis of Keystone Heights. He was also lovingly called "Papa" by eleven grandchildren. There are no scheduled services at this time.
