Mr. James "Jim" E. Powell 74 of Keystone Heights passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at his home. He was born April 2, 1947, in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Arthur and Janet (Guild) Powell. Jim had served in the United States Marine Corp and was a retire Real Estate Broker and Contractor. His family settled in Orange Park after his father retired from the Navy. He grew up in Orange Park where he graduated from Orange Park High School and attended St. Johns Community College. Jim was a life member of the Jaycees, Am vets, and the American Legion. He owned Keystone Realty-Keystone Construction and bought Wards which later became J & R Overhead with Partner Robin Griffith. Jim was also co-owner of Patsys Jym Bar & Grill with his wife Patsy Ricks. He loved the water, sailing the St. Johns River and going to the mountains in Blowing Rock, North Carolina during the summer. Jim had 31 years of love and fun with his loving wife Patsy Ricks of Keystone Heights; daughter Chanel Powell LeBlanc of Fleming Island and her son Landon Powell LaBlanc; stepson Brent Ricks (LeighAnne) of Orlando and their son Gabryel; adopted son Michael Alayon of Keystone Heights; sisters Donna Wesnitzer (Roger) of Casper, WY and Janel Hawkins (Walter) of Ocala. There will be a birthday celebration of Jims life April 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. held at 5943 CR 352 Keystone Heights, FL 32656.
