RICE:James "Jim" Alva Rice, 80, was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 28, 1942. He was a long time resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a phenomenal teacher having taught Science for Duval County Public Schools for many years. Jim passed away on July 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Gisela Rice and his son Michael Rice. Survivors include his two sons Peter James Rice (Sandy), Thomas Alva Rice, one sister Diane Zgodava (Lawrence), two nieces, and two grandchildren Logan Rice and Joshua Rice.
