Mr. James Richard "J.R." Ford, age 93, of Starke formerly of Keystone Heights passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born in Rome, Georgia on January 14, 1922 and grew up in Gainesville. During WWII, J.R. spent time in Homestead training fighter pilots; after the war, he joined the Seaboard Railroad Company and retired from CXS as an engineer. J.R. had moved to Keystone Heights in 1986 from Waycross, Georgia and was also a member of Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by Sons: James Ford Jr., Albert Ford, Frank Ford; daughter Marie Ford; Daughter in-law Tina Peacock Ford; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. There will be a visitation only for Mr. Ford on Saturday, April 25, 2015 between 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E. WALKER DR.
