James Ronald Swilley

James Ronald Swilley, 68, of Gainesville, passed away on November 30th, 2020 in Gainesville. A graveside funeral service will be held at New Oak Grove Baptist Church on Monday, December 7th at 1:00 pm with VA Chaplain Andrew Buehner officiating. Ronald was born in Gainesville, Florida to Florence Elise and Ivey James Swilley on September 22nd, 1952. He went to high school at Gainesville High School and graduated in 1970. He worked as a master carpenter for 42 years. Ronald is preceded in death by his father, Ivey Swilley; his mother, Florence Swilley; and his sister, Merlyne Brooker. Ronald is survived by his sister, Barbara Thomas of Crystal River, Florida; son, Stacey Swilley of Wilbur by the Sea; daughter, Stephanie Stevens of Gainesville, Florida; grandson, Dalton Stevens (Shelby) of High Springs, Florida; granddaughter, Sarah Stevens of Gainesville, Florida; and nieces, Angela Payne (Dan) of South Florida and Becky Manthey (James) of Georgia.
