ObituaryMr. James Shipman J.S. Sapp Mr. James Shipman J.S. Sapp age 85, of Lawtey passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Mr. Sapp was born on November 23, 1925 in Macclenny to the late Shipman and Bessie Griffis Sapp and was a lifelong resident of Bradford County. He was a retired mechanic from Dupont with 30 years of service and was a United States Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Sapp was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church, enjoyed traveling to Blue Grass Festivals, farming, hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors are: his wife of 62 years Wanda Rosier Sapp of Lawtey; children: Betty Jo Sloan of Macclenny; James Buddy Sapp; Elizabeth Padgett (Ben) all of Lawtey; Randall Glenn Sapp of Lake Butler; Linda Young of Florahome; sisters Sharon Eiland of Lawtey; Patricia Hamilton of Gainesville; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL in Starke at 11:00 AM with funeral services beginning at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 17, 2010 with Reverend Ron Kimbrell and Reverend Lester Austin officiating.
