Obituary

Mr. James Earl Williams, age 75 of Florahome, passed away, Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Mr. Williams was born February of 1938 to the late Arthur and Pearl (Smith) Williams in Duval County, Florida. He was a member of Westview Living Word Church in Jacksonville. Mr. Williams worked on many oil rigs and was a welder. He retired from the University of Florida as a Maintenance Director. He had most recently owned and operated Earls Seafood and More in Florahome. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His passion was his chickens and he was known for raising and roosters. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachelle Pappy. Mr. Williams is survived by his children, Victor Williams of Mayport, Tamara Duran and husband, Pete of North Charleston, SC, Regina Martin and husband, Keith of Keystone Heights, Katrina Williams of Melrose, James Earl Williams, Jr. and wife, Melissa of Keystone Heights, Tracy McKenney and husband, John of Keystone Heights and Maxwell Williams of Marietta, as well as 3 siblings, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Noon, Friday, June 28, 2013 at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until Noon on Friday.
