Janet Chase

Janet Chase, 80, of Gainesville, went to be with the Lord July 17, 2018. Janet was born in Brewster, Florida. She graduated from Sebring High School where she was a member of the band and Captain of the Cheerleading Squad. Janet had a long, distinguished career with the Internal Revenue Service. After her retirement, she moved to Gainesville where she was able to be close to friends and family while cheering on her beloved Florida Gators.Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Carlos Chase and her brother, Allan Entz. She is survived by her 3 sons David Roper of Destin, Michael Roper (Sabrina) of Gainesville, Mark Roper (Yvonne) of Niceville and 5 Grandchildren.A Memorial Mass will be held 11:30am on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Ave., Gainesville, FL with Father Al Esposito officiating.
