Janine Popham Lorch of Gainesville, Florida went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, April 22nd. She was born in Miami, Florida to Fred and Janine Popham on December 2, 1933. She graduated from Coral Gables High School and attended the University of Florida. Janine spent most of her life in Florida where she raised three daughters and worked in cosmetology, insurance, sales and marketing. Her sense of humor, pointed expressions and direct approach to situations entertained friends and family for many years. She hosted the Gainesville Informer, a local TV talk show in the 1980s.During the last 30 years, Janine devoted much time to reading and studying the Christian word. She applied everything she learned to her duties as wife, mother and grandmother. Her help and advice will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Graham Lorch of Gainesville, daughter Janine Kannensohn (husband Jeff) of Naples, daughter Melinda Godel (husband Howard) of Mt. Kisco, New York, daughter Emily Hillman (husband Andy) of Pensacola, sister Lucinda Barber of Belleair, eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
