Mr. Jason Corey Johnson age 51, of Starke passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at St. Vincents-Clay in Middleburg. Jason was born on December 10, 1970 in Starke. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Gainesville and was self-employed, working in the construction industry. Jason loved spending time with family and friends and the outdoors, but his passion was duck hunting. Preceding him in death was his mother, Faye Ann Bagwell. Survivors are, children: Callan M. Johnson (Dakota) of Keystone Heights, and Michael Corey Johnson of Gainesville, his father, Johnnie P Johnson (Melba) of Starke, brother, Shane Johnson of Dallas, Texas, nephew, J. Reed Johnson of Dallas, Texas, and his finance Kelley Taylor of Starke. Also left is his granddaughter, Ella Grace Acker, his aunts and uncles, Donnie and Shirley Bagwell of Starke, Tammie and David Woodard of Starke, and the mother of his children, Michelle Sexton of Gainesville. The family will receive friends at JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME of Starke on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church of Starke at 11:00 am with Reverend Mike Moore officiating.
