Mrs. Jean T. King age 85, of Keystone Heights passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Vincents Medical Center in Middleburg. She was born in Roswell, New Mexico on December 22, 1931 to the late Preston and Ervy (Weatherford) Taylor. Prior to retirement she was an Assistant Cashier for Gainesville Atlantic Bank and also a clerk at Clay Electric Cooperation. Mrs. King was an active member of Keystone United Methodist Church where she was in the Mary Martha Circle and volunteered in the church thrift shop. She had been in the Red Hat Society and enjoyed crafts, needle point, painting and was great at crossword puzzles. Mrs. King is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert E. King and their son, Rob (Jeanie) King of Greensboro, North Carolina along with a brother, Richard Taylor of San Antonio, Texas. Also left behind is a granddaughter, Jennifer King and a host of church family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday January 28, 2017 in the Keystone United Methodist Church with Reverend Jeff Tate and Dr. Tom Farmer officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Keystone United Methodist Church (KUMC), 4004 South SR 21, Keystone Heights, FL 32656, in memory of Jean.
